Chapter 19: Final Reflection

釈放前の最後の数日間、ラスコリニコフは最後の反省を行いました。彼は自分の犯罪を振り返り、また自分の贖罪も振り返りました。

In the last few days before his release, Raskolnikov made his final reflection. He reviewed his crime and also reviewed his redemption.

彼は罪は贖うことができるが、その代償は大きいことに気づきました。もしもう一度選ぶことができるなら、彼は決して犯罪の道を選ぶことはないでしょう。

He realized that sins can be redeemed, but the price is huge. If he could choose again, he would never take the path of crime.

ラスコリニコフは過去の自分を後悔しましたが、同時に自分の変化に安堵も感じました。彼はついに内なる平和を見つけました。

Raskolnikov regretted his past self but also felt relieved by his changes. He finally found inner peace.
