Chapter 18: Hope for Release

刑期が近づくにつれて、ラスコリニコフは釈放の日を楽しみにし始めました。彼とソーニャは将来の生活を一緒に計画しました。

As his sentence approached, Raskolnikov began to look forward to the day of his release. He and Sonya planned their future life together.

彼らはサンクトペテルブルクに戻った後、何をするかについて話し合いました。ラスコリニコフは社会に復帰し、新しい人生を始めることを望んでいました。

They discussed what they would do after returning to St. Petersburg. Raskolnikov hoped to reintegrate into society and start a new life.

Although the road ahead was still full of unknowns, Raskolnikov was full of confidence. He believed he could start anew.
