Chapter 15: Reflection and Growth

刑務所での日々の間、ラスコリニコフには反省するための多くの時間がありました。彼は自分の人生を思い出し、自分の罪と過ちについて考えました。

During his days in prison, Raskolnikov had a lot of time for reflection. He recalled his life and thought about his sins and mistakes.

彼は自分の理論が間違っていたことに気づきました。どんなに崇高な目標であっても、人は目標を達成するために極端な手段を使うことはできません。

He realized that his theory was wrong. People cannot use extreme means to achieve their goals, no matter how noble those goals may be.

ラスコリニコフは過去の犯罪を受け入れ始め、自分自身を変えようと努めました。彼の考えは大きな変容を遂げ、より成熟し、理性的になりました。

Raskolnikov began to accept his past crimes and tried to change himself. His thoughts underwent a huge transformation, becoming more mature and rational.
