Chapter 9: The Decision to Surrender

ラスコリニコフはついに警察署に行って自首することを決心しました。彼はポルフィーリに自分が殺人犯だと告げました。

Raskolnikov finally decided to go to the police station and surrender. He told Porfiry that he was the murderer.

ポルフィーリはこの結果に驚きませんでした。彼はラスコリニコフに、自首が彼の最善の選択だと語りました。

Porfiry wasn't surprised by this result. He told Raskolnikov that surrender was his best choice.

Raskolnikov was arrested, but he felt a sense of relief. He finally no longer needed to hide his secret and could face his crime.
