Chapter 1: The Poor Young Man

ラスコリニコフはサンクトペテルブルクに住む貧しい青年でした。彼は狭くてみすぼらしい部屋に住み、非常に困難な状況で生活していました。彼は以前は大学生でしたが、学費が払えなかったため退学しなければなりませんでした。

Raskolnikov was a poor young man living in St. Petersburg. He lived in a small, shabby room and lived in very difficult conditions. Although he used to be a university student, he had to drop out because he couldn't afford tuition.

ラスコリニコフは一人で考え込み、社会の貧富の差に怒りを感じながら日々を過ごしていました。彼は、一部の人の命には価値がないが、他の人は世界を変えることができると信じていました。

Raskolnikov spent his days thinking alone, feeling angry about the wealth gap in society. He believed that some people's lives had no value, while others could change the world.

彼はよく街をさまよい、周りのすべてを観察していました。彼の考えは暗くなり、恐ろしい計画が彼の心の中で形になり始めました。

He often wandered the streets, observing everything around him. His thoughts became darker, and a terrible plan began to take shape in his mind.
