Chapter 18: Heroes of the Three Kingdoms

三国時代は数え切れないほどの英雄を生み出した。軍事に長けた者、政治に精通した者、並外れた知恵を持つ者などである。これらの英雄の行いは、後世に語り継がれる物語となった。

The Three Kingdoms period produced countless heroes. Some were skilled in military affairs, some were proficient in politics, and some possessed exceptional wisdom. The deeds of these heroes became stories praised by later generations.

劉備は三国時代で最も慈悲深い統治者であった。貧しい出身であったが、大志を抱き、漢王朝の復興を望んでいた。彼の慈悲と寛大さは民衆の愛を勝ち取った。

Liu Bei was the most benevolent ruler during the Three Kingdoms period. Although from a poor background, he harbored great ambitions and hoped to restore the Han Dynasty. His benevolence and generosity won the love of the people.

関羽は「軍神」として称賛された。彼の武術と忠誠心は比類なきものであった。青龍偃月刀を振るい、彼は数百の戦いを経験し、その威信は中国全土を震撼させた。彼の義侠心は国中に知れ渡り、忠誠と義侠心の模範となった。

Guan Yu was praised as the "Saint of War." His martial arts and loyalty were unmatched. Wielding the Green Dragon Crescent Blade, he experienced hundreds of battles, and his prestige shook the Chinese realm. His righteousness was renowned throughout the land, becoming a model of loyalty and righteousness.

諸葛亮は三国時代で最も賢明な軍師であった。彼は上は天文を知り、下は地理を知り、並外れた才能を持っていた。彼は劉備を補佐し、度々蜀漢を危険な状況から救った。

Zhuge Liang was the wisest military strategist during the Three Kingdoms period. He knew astronomy above and geography below, possessing exceptional talents. He assisted Liu Bei and repeatedly saved Shu Han from perilous situations.

曹操は狡猾な英雄と考えられていたが、彼の才能は否定できないものであった。彼は人材を登用するのが得意で、並外れた軍事能力を持ち、北方を統一した。彼の詩やエッセイもまた、彼の文学的才能を示していた。

Although Cao Cao was considered a cunning hero, his talent was undeniable. He was good at employing people, possessed exceptional military abilities, and unified the north. His poetry and essays also displayed his literary talent.

孫権、周瑜、趙雲、張飛なども皆、三国時代の有名な英雄であった。彼らの物語は三国志の歴史の重要な部分を形成した。

Sun Quan, Zhou Yu, Zhao Yun, Zhang Fei, and others were all famous heroes of the Three Kingdoms period. Their stories formed an important part of Three Kingdoms history.

これらの英雄は互いに異なっていたが、皆一つの共通点を持っていた。乱世において、彼らは皆自分の理想を実現しようと努力し、後世のために手本を示したのである。

Although these heroes were different from each other, they all had one thing in common: in chaotic times, they all strove to realize their ideals and set examples for later generations.
