Chapter 12: The Fiery Cave

4人は火雲洞に到着しました。紅孩児（こうがいじ）という名前の悪魔がそこに住んでいました。彼が吐く三昧真火（さんまいしんか）はすべてを焼き尽くし、破壊することができました。紅孩児は三蔵法師のことを聞き、彼を捕らえて食べたいと思いました。

The four of them arrived at the Fiery Cloud Cave. A demon named Red Boy lived there. The Samadhi True Fire he breathed could burn and destroy everything. Red Boy heard about Tang Sanzang and wanted to capture him to eat.

孫悟空は紅孩児と激しく戦いましたが、三昧真火はあまりにも強力で、孫悟空は敗北しました。彼は観音に助けを求めに行くことしかできませんでした。

Sun Wukong fought fiercely with Red Boy, but the Samadhi True Fire was too powerful, and Sun Wukong was defeated. He could only go to ask Guanyin for help.

観音は魔法を使って紅孩児を36本の天の剣で囲みました。紅孩児は逃げることができず、降伏しなければなりませんでした。観音は彼を服従させ、彼女の奉仕をする善財童子にしました。孫悟空は観音の助けに感謝し、4人は西への旅を続けました。

Guanyin used magic to surround Red Boy with thirty-six heavenly swords. Red Boy could not escape and had to surrender. Guanyin subdued him and made him a boy attendant in her service. Sun Wukong thanked Guanyin for her help, and the four continued their journey west.
