第2章：師匠を求めて

Chapter 2: Finding a Master

猿王は幸せな生活を送っていましたが、心の中ではいつも心配していました。ある日、彼はいつか年をとって死ぬだろうと考え、涙を流さずにはいられませんでした。年老いた猿が彼に言いました。「遠い西に、永遠の命の魔法を教えてくれる3人の仙人がいます。」

Although the Monkey King lived a happy life, he was always worried in his heart. One day, he thought about how he would eventually grow old and die, and he couldn't help shedding tears. An old monkey told him: "In the distant west, there are three immortals who can teach you the magic of eternal life."

猿王はすぐに師匠を見つけるために西へ旅することを決心しました。彼は筏を作り、海を渡り、不思議な場所に到着しました。あちこち尋ねた後、ついに彼は菩提祖師という道教の師匠を見つけました。

The Monkey King immediately decided to travel west to find a teacher. He made a raft and crossed the sea, arriving at a mysterious place. After asking around, he finally found a Taoist master named Patriarch Bodhi.

猿王が賢くて頭が良いのを見て、菩提祖師は彼を弟子として受け入れることにしました。猿王はとても喜び、それ以来魔法を学び始めました。菩提祖師は彼に名前を与えました—孫悟空。

Seeing that the Monkey King was clever and smart, Patriarch Bodhi decided to accept him as a student. The Monkey King was very happy and began learning magic from then on. Patriarch Bodhi gave him a name — Sun Wukong.

孫悟空は非常に熱心に勉強しました。彼は七十二の変化を学んだだけでなく、一飛びで五万四千里を移動できる筋斗雲も学びました。数年後、彼は多くの魔法の術を習得し、真の仙人となりました。

Sun Wukong studied very diligently. He not only learned seventy-two transformations but also learned the somersault cloud, which could travel fifty-four thousand miles in a single jump. A few years later, he had mastered many magical arts and became a true immortal.
