Chapter 9: The Fall of the Bronze Pillar

陳塘関陥落の知らせが商の都に届き、王室に衝撃が走りました。しかし、周王は自分の状況の現実を受け入れることを拒否しました。彼はより多くの拷問器具の建設を命じ、彼の指導力に疑問を呈する者への迫害を強化しました。

News of Chentang Pass's fall reached the Shang capital, sending shockwaves through the royal court. King Zhou, however, refused to accept the reality of his situation. He ordered the construction of more torture devices and increased the persecution of anyone who questioned his leadership.

悪名高い銅柱は宮廷の中央に立ち、王の残酷さと狂気の象徴でした。囚人は熱された柱を抱きしめることを強いられ、彼らの悲鳴が宮殿の壁に響き渡りました。朝廷の役人たちは次の犠牲者になることを常に恐れて生活していました。

The infamous Bronze Pillar stood in the center of the palace courtyard, a symbol of the king's cruelty and madness. Prisoners were forced to embrace the heated pillar, their screams echoing through the palace walls. The court officials lived in constant fear of becoming the next victims.

姜子牙はこれらの残虐行為を知り、商王朝の核心を打つ時が来たと決心しました。彼は最も信頼できる戦士たちを集め、都への最終攻撃に備えました。道徳的義務は明確でした：暴君を止めなければなりません。

Jiang Ziya, learning of these atrocities, decided that the time had come to strike at the heart of the Shang Dynasty. He assembled his most trusted warriors and prepared for the final assault on the capital. The moral imperative was clear: the tyrant must be stopped.

The Zhou army approached the capital with determination. The city's defenses were strong, but the morale of the defenders was low. Many soldiers had witnessed the king's cruelty firsthand and questioned their loyalty to such a ruler.

都市内部では、抵抗運動が形成され始めました。一般市民や下級役人は密かに周軍と連絡を取り、情報と援助を提供しました。王の権力への掌握は緩み、彼自身の民が彼に背を向け始めていました。

Inside the city, resistance movements began to form. Common people and lower-ranking officials secretly communicated with the Zhou forces, offering intelligence and assistance. The king's grip on power was slipping, and his own people were turning against him.

都の最後の戦いは夜明けに始まりました。周軍は複数の方向から攻撃し、無秩序な商の防御を圧倒しました。哪吒と楊戩が突撃を率い、彼らの超自然的力が残りの抵抗を切り裂きました。

The final battle for the capital began at dawn. Zhou forces attacked from multiple directions, overwhelming the disorganized Shang defenses. Nezha and Yang Jian led the charge, their supernatural powers cutting through the remaining resistance.

周王は自分の統治が終わったことを認識し、宮殿に撤退しました。彼は使用人に大火を建てるよう命じ、捕虜になることより死を選びました。銅柱、彼の残酷さの象徴は、暴君が最期を迎える中、空しく立っていました。商王朝は崩壊し、新しい時代が始まろうとしていました。

King Zhou, realizing that his reign was over, retreated to his palace. He ordered his servants to build a great fire, choosing death over capture. The Bronze Pillar, symbol of his cruelty, stood empty as the tyrant met his end. The Shang Dynasty had fallen, and a new era was about to begin.
