In the spring of the following year, Hareton asked Cathy to marry him. They were standing in the flower field they had planted together, surrounded by the bright colors they had worked so hard to grow.

「愛しているよ、キャシー」ヘアトンは感情のこもった声で言った。「残りの人生を君と過ごしたい」

'I love you, Cathy,' Hareton said, his voice filled with emotion. 'I want to spend the rest of my life with you.'

Cathy's eyes filled with tears. 'I love you too, Hareton,' she answered. 'You are the kindest, most wonderful man I have ever known.'

They were married in the little church near Wuthering Heights, with Mrs. Dean as their witness. It was a simple, beautiful ceremony, very different from the arranged marriage that had trapped Cathy with Linton.

キャシーは白いドレスを着て、ヘアトンは新しいスーツでハンサムに見えた。彼らは祭壇の前に立ち、残りの人生をお互いに愛し敬うことを誓った。彼らが誓いの言葉を述べている間、ディーン夫人は目から涙を拭った。

Cathy wore a white dress, and Hareton looked handsome in a new suit. They stood before the altar and promised to love and honor each other for the rest of their lives. As they said their vows, Mrs. Dean wiped tears from her eyes.

After the ceremony, they held a celebration at Thrushcross Grange. The house was decorated with flowers, and guests from the village came to wish them well. Everyone commented on how happy they looked together.

For the first time in many years, both Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange were filled with laughter and joy. The dark days of Heathcliff were over, and a new, happier era had begun.

家で多くの苦しみと死を見てきたディーン夫人は、安らぎを感じた。若いカップルは憎しみと復讐の連鎖を断ち切り、健全で良い愛を見つけたのだ。

Mrs. Dean, who had seen so much suffering and death in the house, felt a sense of peace. The young couple had broken the cycle of hatred and revenge, and they had found a love that was healthy and good.

キャシーとヘアトンはスラッシュクロス・グランジの大広間で一緒に踊り、その顔は幸福で満たされていた。彼らは何か新しいことの始まり、年月を経て成長し繁栄する何かの始まりのように見えた。

Cathy and Hareton danced together in the grand hall of Thrushcross Grange, their faces filled with happiness. They looked like the beginning of something new, something that would grow and flourish over the years.

キャサリンとヒースクリフの幽霊はついに安らかになり、生きている者たちは今、未来へと進むことができた。

The ghosts of Catherine and Heathcliff were finally at rest, and the living could now move forward into the future.
