Chapter 8: The Storm

ある夜、恐ろしい嵐が海上で私たちを襲った。風は唸り声を上げ、波は甲板に打ち寄せた。船は激しく揺れ、固定されていないすべてのものが船室中を飛び交った。

One night, a terrible storm caught us at sea. The winds howled, and the waves crashed over the deck. The ship rocked violently, and everything that was not tied down was thrown across the cabin.

私はこれほどの恐怖を経験したことがなかった。美しく平和に見えた海は、今や強力で怒れる力となっていた。水が私に降り注ぐ中、私は手すりにしがみつき、私たちが生き残れるだろうかと案じた。

I had never experienced such fear. The ocean, which had seemed beautiful and peaceful, was now a powerful and angry force. I held onto the railing as water poured over me, wondering if we would survive.

エイハブ船長は舵の前に立ち、混乱の中で船を操縦していた。彼は恐れを見せず、決意だけを示していた。彼の強さと勇気は、船を浮かせ続けようと戦う私たちに希望を与えた。

Captain Ahab stood at the wheel, steering the ship through the chaos. He showed no fear, only determination. His strength and courage gave us hope as we fought to keep the ship afloat.
