清朝の乾隆時代、科挙制度は学者にとって唯一の道でした。貧しい家庭の無数の子供たちが、官職を得て運命を変えるために、昼夜を問わず古典を学びました。この時代、学者は社会の柱として称賛されました。

During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the imperial examination system was the only path for scholars. Countless children from poor families studied the classics day and night, merely to obtain an official title and change their destiny. In this era, scholars were praised as the pillars of society.

周進（Zhou Jin）は貧しい家庭出身の平凡な学者でした。彼は幼い頃から聡明で、科挙を通じて家族の貧困を変える決心をしていました。毎朝、他の子供たちがまだ夢を見ている頃、周進はすでに勉強していました。
