Chapter 18: Meaning of Life
In the middle of my life, I began to think about the true meaning of life. What is most important? Is it money and status? Or love and relationships? After years of thinking, I found the answer. The meaning of life does not lie in how much wealth we have, but in how we treat others and ourselves. True happiness comes from inner peace and satisfaction, from being able to help others, and from being able to love and be loved.
Agnes and I often discussed this issue. We agreed that the meaning of life lies in pursuing truth, doing good deeds, and passing on love and hope. We hope that our children can also understand this and live according to this principle. We tried our best to treat every person we met with kindness, value them for who they are rather than what they have, and live every day with gratitude and purpose.
