第9章：许仙生疑
Although Xu Xian was alive, the peace of their home was gone. Every time he looked at Bai Suzhen, he saw the image of the giant white snake. He became quiet and withdrawn, unable to trust his own senses. Bai Suzhen tried to comfort him, but her presence only seemed to increase his fear.
虽然许仙活了过来，但家中的宁静已经消失了。每当他看到白素贞，他都会想起那条巨大的白蛇。他变得沉默寡言，不再相信自己的感官。白素贞试图安慰他，但她的存在似乎只会增加他的恐惧。
"Is something wrong, my husband?" she asked one evening, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You have been so distant since you recovered."
“有什么不对吗，夫君？”一天晚上她问道，把手放在他的肩膀上。“自从你康复后，你一直这么疏远。”
Xu Xian flinched at her touch. "I... I saw something during the festival, Suzhen. A monster. It was in our bed."
许仙在她的触碰下畏缩了一下。“我……我在节日期间看到了些东西，素贞。一个怪物。它就在我们的床上。”
Bai Suzhen's heart sank. "It was just a hallucination caused by the wine, Xian. You were very ill. Please, do not let a dream ruin what we have."
白素贞的心沉了下去。“那只是雄黄酒引起的幻觉，许仙。你当时病得很重。请不要让一场梦毁掉我们所拥有的一切。”
But Xu Xian could not forget. He began to spend more time away from home, seeking solace in the local temples. One day, he found himself back at Jinshan Temple, where Fahai was waiting for him.
但许仙无法忘记。他开始花更多时间在外，在当地的寺庙中寻求安慰。一天，他发现自己回到了金山寺，法海正在那里等着他。
"You have seen the truth now, haven't you?" Fahai said, his voice full of knowing. "The spirit saved you only to keep you in her power. As long as you stay with her, your soul is in danger."
“你现在看到真相了，不是吗？”法海说道，声音中充满了洞悉。“那个妖怪救你只是为了把你控制在她的力量之下。只要你还和她在一起，你的灵魂就处于危险之中。”
"What should I do?" Xu Xian asked, his voice breaking. "I love her, but I am terrified."
“我该怎么办？”许仙问道，声音嘶哑。“我爱她，但我很害怕。”
"Stay here in the temple," Fahai suggested. "The sacred walls will protect you. If she truly loves you, she will let you go. If not, she will show her true nature."
“留在寺庙里吧，”法海建议道。“神圣的围墙会保护你。如果她真的爱你，她会放你走。如果不是，她会显露出她的真面目。”
Xu Xian agreed to stay, hoping to find peace and clarity. But his absence only fueled Bai Suzhen's desperation. She knew that Fahai was behind his decision, and she was determined to get her husband back, no matter the cost. The conflict between the spirit and the monk was about to reach a breaking point, and the city of Hangzhou would soon feel the weight of their battle.
许仙同意留下来，希望能找到平静和清晰。但他的不在只会加剧白素贞的绝望。她知道法海是这一决定的幕后推手，她决心要夺回丈夫，无论付出什么代价。妖怪与僧侣之间的冲突即将达到爆发点，杭州城很快就会感受到他们战斗的重量。
