Chapter 1: The Stone Monkey
บทที่ 1: พยาวานรหิน
On the eastern coast of the East Sea, there was a mountain called Flower-Fruit Mountain. On the mountain stood a giant magical rock that absorbed the essence of heaven and earth day after day. Suddenly, one day, the rock cracked open, and a stone monkey jumped out!
ที่ชายฝั่งตะวันออกของทะเลตะวันออก มีภูเขาลูกหนึ่งชื่อว่า ภูเขาดอกไม้ผลไม้ บนยอดเขามีหินวิเศษขนาดยักษ์ตั้งอยู่ ซึ่งดูดซับพลังแห่งฟ้าและดินวันแล้ววันเล่า ทันใดนั้น วันหนึ่ง หินก็แตกออก และลิงหินตัวหนึ่งก็กระโดดออกมาจากข้างใน!
The monkey was lively and active, jumping and playing among the mountains. He soon found a group of monkeys and became friends with them. One day, the monkeys were playing by a mountain stream when they saw a waterfall pouring down from a high cliff.
ลิงตัวนั้นมีชีวิตชีวาและกระตือรือร้น กระโดดโลดเต้นและเล่นอยู่ท่ามกลางขุนเขา ในไม่ช้ามันก็พบกลุ่มลิงและผูกมิตรกับพวกมัน วันหนึ่ง เหล่าลิงกำลังเล่นกันที่ริมลำธารบนภูเขา เมื่อพวกมันเห็นน้ำตกไหลลงมาจากหน้าผาสูง
"Whoever dares to jump through this waterfall, we will make him our king!" an older monkey shouted loudly.
"ใครก็ตามที่กล้ากระโดดผ่านน้ำตกนี้ไปได้ เราจะยกให้เป็นราชาของเรา!" ลิงเฒ่าตัวหนึ่งตะโกนเสียงดัง
Without hesitation, the stone monkey leaped into the waterfall. To his surprise, behind the waterfall was a beautiful cave! There were stone tables and chairs, as well as various fruits and flowers. The stone monkey excitedly ran out to tell the other monkeys. They all jumped into the cave one after another and indeed discovered an excellent home.
โดยไม่ลังเล ลิงหินกระโดดเข้าไปในน้ำตก ที่น่าประหลาดใจคือ หลังน้ำตกนั้นมีถ้ำที่สวยงาม! มีโต๊ะและเก้าอี้หิน รวมถึงผลไม้และดอกไม้นานาชนิด ลิงหินวิ่งออกมาอย่างตื่นเต้นเพื่อบอกลิงตัวอื่นๆ พวกมันทั้งหมดกระโดดเข้าไปในถ้ำทีละตัวและค้นพบบ้านที่ยอดเยี่ยมจริงๆ
From then on, the stone monkey became the Monkey King of Flower-Fruit Mountain. He played with the monkeys every day, living a happy and free life.
