After Sun Wukong left, the remaining three continued their journey. They arrived at the Kingdom of Baoxiang and stayed in an inn. Unexpectedly, the innkeeper was actually a demon in disguise called the Yellow Robe Monster.

He defeated the Yellow Robe Monster, rescued Tang Sanzang, and helped his master return to his original form. Tang Sanzang was very moved and apologized to Sun Wukong. The master and disciple reconciled.
