Chapter 1: The Stone Monkey
Capítulo 1: O Rei Macaco
On the eastern coast of the East Sea, there was a mountain called Flower-Fruit Mountain. On the mountain stood a giant magical rock that absorbed the essence of heaven and earth day after day. Suddenly, one day, the rock cracked open, and a stone monkey jumped out!
Na costa leste do Mar Oriental, havia uma montanha chamada Montanha das Flores e Frutos. No topo da montanha, havia uma pedra mágica gigante que absorvia a essência do céu e da terra dia após dia. De repente, um dia, a pedra se partiu e um macaco de pedra saltou de dentro dela!
The monkey was lively and active, jumping and playing among the mountains. He soon found a group of monkeys and became friends with them. One day, the monkeys were playing by a mountain stream when they saw a waterfall pouring down from a high cliff.
O macaco era vivo e ativo, pulando e brincando entre as montanhas. Logo ele encontrou um grupo de macacos e fez amizade com eles. Um dia, os macacos estavam brincando perto de um riacho na montanha quando viram uma cachoeira caindo de um penhasco alto.
"Whoever dares to jump through this waterfall, we will make him our king!" an older monkey shouted loudly.
"Quem ousar pular através desta cachoeira, nós o faremos nosso rei!" gritou um macaco velho.
Without hesitation, the stone monkey leaped into the waterfall. To his surprise, behind the waterfall was a beautiful cave! There were stone tables and chairs, as well as various fruits and flowers. The stone monkey excitedly ran out to tell the other monkeys. They all jumped into the cave one after another and indeed discovered an excellent home.
Sem hesitar, o macaco de pedra pulou na cachoeira. Para sua surpresa, atrás da cachoeira havia uma caverna linda! Havia mesas e cadeiras de pedra, além de várias frutas e flores. O macaco de pedra correu animado para contar aos outros macacos. Todos eles pularam na caverna um por um e realmente descobriram um lar maravilhoso.
From then on, the stone monkey became the Monkey King of Flower-Fruit Mountain. He played with the monkeys every day, living a happy and free life.
A partir de então, o macaco de pedra tornou-se o Rei Macaco da Montanha das Flores e Frutos. Ele brincava com os macacos todos os dias, vivendo uma vida feliz e livre.
