I returned to my hometown this time because we needed to move, and everything had to be sold.

A mãe disse-me que Run Tu tinha vindo. Isto deixou-me feliz. Lembrei-me do nome dele, como se ele ainda fosse jovem e animado. Ele foi outrora o meu bom amigo. Brincávamos juntos nos campos de melões, apanhávamos texugos juntos e nadávamos juntos no rio.

Agora, ele tem mais de trinta anos, com esposa e filhos. A mãe disse que a vida dele é muito difícil agora. A nossa família está a mudar-se, e ele veio ajudar-nos.
I looked at the winter outside, thinking about the summers of the past. At that time, we always played happily, unaware of the hardships of life.
Olhei para o inverno lá fora, a pensar nos verões do passado. Naquela altura, brincávamos sempre felizes, alheios às dificuldades da vida.
