Many years later, Mrs. Dean sat on the hill behind Wuthering Heights, watching the sunset over the moors. She was very old now, her white hair blowing in the wind, but her mind was still clear, and her heart was at peace.

They had found peace at last, watching over the living, content in knowing that their story had not ended in darkness.
