Chapter 11: The Pacific Ocean
제11장: 태평양
We sailed into the vast Pacific Ocean, the largest and deepest ocean in the world. The water stretched endlessly in every direction, and we were truly alone, far from any land.
우리는 세계에서 가장 크고 깊은 바다인 광활한 태평양으로 항해했다. 물은 사방으로 끝없이 뻗어 있었고, 우리는 육지에서 멀리 떨어진 채 진정으로 혼자였다.
The Pacific was beautiful but also dangerous. The weather could change suddenly, and the waves were larger and more powerful than in other oceans. We had to be constantly alert and prepared for anything.
태평양은 아름다웠지만 위험하기도 했다. 날씨는 갑자기 변할 수 있었고 파도는 다른 바다보다 더 크고 강력했다. 우리는 끊임없이 경계하고 어떤 것에도 대비해야 했다.
During our time in the Pacific, we saw many whales and had some successful hunts. But with each success, I could feel Captain Ahab's focus narrowing, his eyes always searching the horizon for signs of Moby Dick.
