Chapter 7: Married Life
제7장: 결혼 생활
Eventually, Dora and I got married. The wedding was simple but joyful. However, married life proved to be very different from what I had imagined. Dora was completely incapable of managing a household. She couldn't cook, clean, or even make basic decisions about our daily life.
결국 도라와 나는 결혼했다. 결혼식은 소박하지만 즐거웠다. 그러나 결혼 생활은 내가 상상했던 것과는 사뭇 달랐다. 도라는 가계를 전혀 꾸려갈 수 없었다. 그녀는 요리도 청소도 할 수 없었고, 일상 생활에 관한 기본적인 결정조차 내릴 수 없었다.
Despite these challenges, I still loved Dora deeply. She was kind-hearted and tried her best to make me happy, even if her best wasn't enough for the practical demands of married life. We learned to laugh about our difficulties and find happiness in our love for each other, imperfect though it was.
이러한 어려움에도 불구하고 나는 여전히 도라를 깊이 사랑했다. 그녀는 마음이 착했고 나를 행복하게 하려고 최선을 다했지만, 그녀의 최선은 결혼 생활의 실제적인 요구에는 충분하지 않았다. 우리는 우리의 어려움을 웃어넘기는 법을 배웠고 비록 불완전하더라도 서로에 대한 사랑에서 행복을 찾는 법을 배웠다.
