Chapter 1: Lin Chong at the Mountain Temple
제1장: 임충, 산신묘에 있다
Lin Chong was exiled to Cangzhou and assigned to work guarding the fodder storage. It was a cold winter with heavy snow falling. Lin Chong lived in the mountain temple and guarded the fodder every day.
임충은 창주로 유배되어 사료 창고를 지키는 일을 맡게 되었습니다. 폭설이 내리는 추운 겨울이었습니다. 임충은 산신묘에 살며 매일 사료를 지켰습니다.
One night, Lin Chong heard movement outside. He looked carefully and saw several dark figures moving near the fodder storage. Lin Chong thought to himself: "These people must be bad people. They want to burn the fodder storage."
어느 날 밤, 임충은 밖에서 인기척을 느꼈습니다. 주의 깊게 살펴보니 몇 명의 검은 그림자가 사료 창고 근처에서 움직이고 있었습니다. 임충은 속으로 생각했습니다. "이 사람들은 나쁜 사람들임에 틀림없다. 사료 창고를 불태우려는 것이다."
Lin Chong quietly walked out of the temple and saw that the fodder storage was really on fire. Those people were holding torches and setting fire. Lin Chong was very angry. He thought: "These bad people harmed me once, and now they come to harm me again."
임충은 조용히 묘 밖으로 나와 사료 창고에 정말 불이 난 것을 보았습니다. 그 사람들은 횃불을 들고 불을 지르고 있었습니다. 임충은 매우 화가 났습니다. 그는 생각했습니다. "이 나쁜 사람들이 나를 한 번 해치더니, 이제 또 나를 해치러 왔구나."
Lin Chong picked up his weapon and rushed out. He fought with those people and finally defeated them all.

Lin Chong knew that he could not live in Cangzhou anymore, so he decided to go to Liangshan Marsh. There were many people like him there, all of whom were wrongly accused by the court.
임충은 더 이상 창주에서 살 수 없다는 것을 알고 양산박으로 가기로 결심했습니다. 그곳에는 그와 같은 사람들이 많이 있었는데, 모두 조정으로부터 억울하게 누명을 쓴 사람들이었습니다.
