Chapter 14: The Two Monkey Kings
제14장: 두 명의 미후왕
The four of them were traveling when suddenly a monkey appeared who looked exactly like Sun Wukong. This fake Sun Wukong knocked out Tang Sanzang and stole the luggage. He even went before the Buddha to frame the real Sun Wukong.
네 사람이 여행을 하고 있는데 갑자기 손오공과 똑같이 생긴 원숭이가 나타났습니다. 이 가짜 손오공은 당삼장을 기절시키고 짐을 훔쳤습니다. 심지어 진짜 손오공에게 누명을 씌우기 위해 부처님 앞에까지 갔습니다.
The real Sun Wukong was very angry and fought with the fake Sun Wukong for three hundred rounds, but they could not tell who would win. They went to the Heavenly Court and asked the Jade Emperor to distinguish between true and false. The Jade Emperor asked the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li to use the Demon-Reflecting Mirror, but the mirror could not tell the difference either.
진짜 손오공은 매우 화가 나서 가짜 손오공과 300라운드나 싸웠지만 누가 이길지 알 수 없었습니다. 그들은 천궁으로 가서 옥황상제에게 진위를 가려달라고 요청했습니다. 옥황상제는 탁탑천왕 이정에게 조요경을 사용하게 했지만 거울도 차이를 구별할 수 없었습니다.
They then went before Guanyin, but she could not tell the difference either. Finally, they came before the Tathagata Buddha. The Buddha looked with his wisdom eye and immediately recognized the fake Sun Wukong. It turned out to be a six-eared macaque, and the Buddha subdued him. The real Sun Wukong finally cleared his name.
그들은 관세음보살에게 갔지만 그녀 또한 구별할 수 없었습니다. 마침내 그들은 석가모니 부처님 앞에 왔습니다. 부처님은 지혜의 눈으로 보고 즉시 가짜 손오공을 알아보았습니다. 알고 보니 육이미후라는 원숭이였고 부처님은 그를 제압했습니다. 진짜 손오공은 마침내 누명을 벗었습니다.
