제5장: 부처님께 벌을 받다
Sun Wukong was in charge of guarding the Peach Garden, but he heard that the peaches were precious fruits that could make people live forever. So he stole and ate many peaches, and also caused chaos at the Peach Festival. The Jade Emperor was very angry when he found out and sent the god Erlang Shen Yang Jian to capture him.
손오공은 반도원을 지키는 임무를 맡았지만, 반도가 사람을 영원히 살게 하는 귀한 과일이라는 것을 듣게 되었습니다. 그래서 그는 많은 복숭아를 훔쳐 먹었고 반도 연회에서도 난동을 부렸습니다. 옥황상제는 이 사실을 알고 매우 화가 나서 이랑신 양전을 보내 그를 잡게 했습니다.
Erlang Shen was highly skilled in martial arts and fought with Sun Wukong, and neither could win. The Jade Emperor ordered the Supreme Lord Lao to use his Diamond Circle to attack Sun Wukong from behind, knocking him to the ground. Sun Wukong was caught by the heavenly soldiers and tied to the Execution Platform.
이랑신은 무술 실력이 뛰어나 손오공과 싸웠지만 승부가 나지 않았습니다. 옥황상제는 태상노군에게 금강탁을 사용하여 뒤에서 손오공을 공격하게 했고, 손오공은 땅에 쓰러졌습니다. 손오공은 천병들에게 붙잡혀 처형대에 묶였습니다.
However, Sun Wukong had already eaten the immortal peaches, so ordinary punishments could not kill him at all. The Jade Emperor had to press him under the Five Elements Mountain to make him reflect on his mistakes. For five hundred years, he remained trapped there.
그러나 손오공은 이미 불로장생의 복숭아를 먹었기 때문에 일반적인 형벌로는 그를 죽일 수 없었습니다. 옥황상제는 그를 오행산 아래에 가두어 자신의 잘못을 반성하게 해야 했습니다. 500년 동안 그는 그곳에 갇혀 있었습니다.
