제3장: 여의봉
Sun Wukong wanted to find some good weapons for his monkeys. He came to the Dragon Palace of the East Sea and asked the Dragon King for weapons. The Dragon King took out many weapons, but Sun Wukong felt they were all too light.
손오공은 원숭이들을 위해 좋은 무기를 구하고 싶었습니다. 그는 동해 용궁으로 가서 용왕에게 무기를 달라고 요청했습니다. 용왕은 많은 무기를 꺼내 놓았지만 손오공은 모두 너무 가볍다고 느꼈습니다.
Finally, the Dragon King led Sun Wukong to the deep sea, where there was a huge iron pillar weighing 13,500 pounds. This iron pillar was left from ancient times and was called the Golden-Hooped Rod. Sun Wukong tried to pick it up and found that the rod could actually change size according to his will!
마침내 용왕은 손오공을 깊은 바다로 안내했는데, 그곳에는 무게가 13,500근이나 되는 거대한 철기둥이 있었습니다. 이 철기둥은 고대부터 남아 있었으며 여의금고봉이라고 불렸습니다. 손오공이 그것을 들어 올리려고 시도하자 놀랍게도 그 봉은 그의 뜻대로 크기가 변할 수 있었습니다!
Sun Wukong was extremely excited. He shrunk the rod to the size of an embroidery needle and hid it in his ear for storage. He said goodbye to the Dragon King and returned to Flower-Fruit Mountain. With this divine weapon, Sun Wukong became even more powerful and became a true hero.
손오공은 매우 흥분했습니다. 그는 봉을 바늘 크기로 줄여 귀 속에 숨겼습니다. 그는 용왕에게 작별 인사를 하고 화과산으로 돌아왔습니다. 이 신비한 무기를 얻은 손오공은 더욱 강력해졌고 진정한 영웅이 되었습니다.
