第9章：沙悟浄が加わる
The three continued their journey and arrived at the Flowing Sand River. The water in this river was very rapid, and there was a monster in the river who specialized in blocking passing travelers. Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie jumped into the river and fought fiercely with the monster.
3人は旅を続け、流砂河に到着しました。この川の水は非常に急で、川には通りがかりの旅行者を妨害することを専門とする怪物がいました。孫悟空と猪八戒は川に飛び込み、怪物と激しく戦いました。
The monster was highly skilled in martial arts and fought evenly with Sun Wukong. Guanyin appeared again and told them that this monster was the General Curtain-Roller, who had been banished to the human world for accidentally breaking a glazed lamp. He had lived in the Flowing Sand River for a long time, suffering greatly.
怪物は武術に非常に優れており、孫悟空と互角に戦いました。観音が再び現れ、この怪物は捲簾大将（けんれんたいしょう）であり、誤って瑠璃のランプを壊したために人間界に追放されたのだと彼らに言いました。彼は長い間流砂河に住んでいて、大いに苦しんでいました。
Guanyin subdued him and let him follow Tang Sanzang to fetch the scriptures. She named him Sha Wujing. Sha Wujing was honest and hardworking, becoming a good helper in the team. Now, the scripture-fetching team was finally complete.
