Chapter 11: The Broken Bridge Reunion

Bab 11: Reuni di Jembatan Putus

After the battle at Jinshan Temple, Xu Xian managed to escape and made his way back to Hangzhou. He was confused, frightened, and overwhelmed by everything that had happened. As he reached the Broken Bridge, where he had first met Bai Suzhen, he saw her sitting by the water, looking pale and exhausted.

Di Jembatan Putus, di tengah hujan gerimis, Bai Suzhen terluka dan lemah, beristirahat sementara Xiaoqing merawatnya dengan kemarahan terhadap Xu Xian.

"Suzhen?" he called out softly.

"Pria tak berperasaan! Kakakku begitu baik padamu, dan kau berani meninggalkannya dan mempercayai kata-kata si botak tua itu!" Xiaoqing memarahi dengan marah.

She looked up, her eyes filling with tears. "Xu Xian! You've come back."

Saat itu, Xu Xian datang berlari, terengah-engah. Melihat kondisi Bai Suzhen, dia jatuh berlutut sambil menangis.

Xiaoqing, however, was not as forgiving. She stepped between them, her eyes flashing with anger. "How dare you come back after what you've done? You doubted her, you let that monk control you, and you left her when she needed you most!"

"Istriku! Aku salah. Maafkan aku karena pengecut dan tidak mempercayaimu. Aku pantas mati!" ratap Xu Xian.

"Xiaoqing, please," Bai Suzhen pleaded. "He is here now. That is all that matters."

Xiaoqing menghunus pedangnya untuk melukai Xu Xian, tetapi Bai Suzhen menghentikannya. "Xiaoqing... jangan... dia suamiku... aku mencintainya..."

Xu Xian knelt before his wife. "I am so sorry, Suzhen. I was a coward. I let my fear blind me to the truth of your heart. I saw the flood, and I saw how much you were willing to sacrifice for me. I don't care what you are. I only know that I love you."

Bai Suzhen menatap Xu Xian dengan mata penuh cinta dan pengampunan. "Suamiku... aku senang kamu kembali... ayo kita pulang."

Bai Suzhen took him in her arms, and for a moment, the world felt right again. They returned to their home and tried to rebuild their lives. The shop was closed, but they had each other. However, the shadow of Fahai still loomed over them. Bai Suzhen knew that her time with Xu Xian was limited. She had broken the laws of heaven by flooding the temple, and she knew that justice would eventually find her. For now, she cherished every second they had together, knowing that their happiness was a fragile gift. They spent their days in quiet reflection, preparing for the child that would soon be born, a symbol of their love that transcended the boundaries of spirits and mortals.
