Chapitre 17 : Gratitude
As the years went by, I increasingly understood gratitude. I thanked those who helped me when I was in difficulty, and thanked those who guided me when I was confused. Without them, I could not have reached where I am today. I also thanked those who had hurt me, because they made me stronger. Every setback made me grow, and every failure taught me a lesson.
Au fil des années, j'ai de plus en plus compris la gratitude. J'ai remercié ceux qui m'ont aidé quand j'étais en difficulté, et j'ai remercié ceux qui m'ont guidé quand j'étais confus. Sans eux, je n'aurais pas pu arriver là où je suis aujourd'hui. J'ai aussi remercié ceux qui m'avaient blessé, parce qu'ils m'ont rendu plus fort. Chaque revers m'a fait grandir, et chaque échec m'a appris une leçon.
Most importantly, I thanked life itself. Although there are pains and difficulties in life, every day is a gift from heaven. I hope to use my life to do meaningful things and repay everything this world has given me. I hope my children can also understand this and live according to this principle.
Plus important encore, j'ai remercié la vie elle-même. Bien qu'il y ait des douleurs et des difficultés dans la vie, chaque jour est un cadeau du ciel. J'espère utiliser ma vie pour faire des choses significatives et rendre tout ce que ce monde m'a donné. J'espère que mes enfants pourront aussi comprendre cela et vivre selon ce principe.
