Chapitre 3 : La nuit du meurtre
On a hot summer night, Raskolnikov came to the pawnshop. He attacked the old woman with an axe and killed her. Just as he was about to leave, the old woman's sister Lizaveta suddenly entered.
Par une chaude nuit d'été, Raskolnikov est venu chez le prêteur sur gages. Il a attaqué la vieille femme avec une hache et l'a tuée. Au moment où il s'apprêtait à partir, la sœur de la vieille femme, Lizaveta, est soudainement entrée.
Lizaveta saw this scene, and Raskolnikov had to kill her too. He took some belongings and fled the scene in panic.
Lizaveta a vu cette scène et Raskolnikov a dû la tuer aussi. Il a pris quelques affaires et a fui les lieux en panique.
This was Raskolnikov's first time killing someone. His heart was filled with fear and guilt. But he still believed that what he did was correct.
C'était la première fois que Raskolnikov tuait quelqu'un. Son cœur était rempli de peur et de culpabilité. Mais il croyait toujours que ce qu'il avait fait était correct.
