Levin continued to live in the countryside. Although his longing for Kitty hadn't completely disappeared, he began to accept reality. He put more time into agricultural reform, hoping to improve farmers' lives.

After rejecting Levin, Kitty began to reflect on her decision. She realized she might have missed true love. During her illness, Kitty figured out many things and began to understand Levin's sincerity and kindness.
