Chapitre 6 : Retour à Saint-Pétersbourg
Anna returned to her home in St. Petersburg. She tried to return to normal life, but Vronsky's figure always appeared in her mind. Karenin noticed that his wife was still restless, and he began to suspect that something was happening.
Anna est retournée chez elle à Saint-Pétersbourg. Elle a essayé de reprendre une vie normale, mais la silhouette de Vronski apparaissait toujours dans son esprit. Karénine a remarqué que sa femme était toujours agitée et a commencé à soupçonner que quelque chose se passait.
Vronsky decided to follow Anna to St. Petersburg. He often appeared at Anna's social occasions, hoping to see her again. Karenin saw Vronsky's attention to Anna and began to feel threatened.
Vronski a décidé de suivre Anna à Saint-Pétersbourg. Il apparaissait souvent aux événements sociaux d'Anna, espérant la revoir. Karénine a vu l'attention de Vronski pour Anna et a commencé à se sentir menacé.
Anna felt increasing pressure. On one hand, she wanted to remain loyal to her husband; on the other hand, she couldn't suppress her love for Vronsky. This internal conflict made her very painful.
