Chapitre 3 : Le Bâton Magique
Sun Wukong wanted to find some good weapons for his monkeys. He came to the Dragon Palace of the East Sea and asked the Dragon King for weapons. The Dragon King took out many weapons, but Sun Wukong felt they were all too light.
Sun Wukong voulait trouver de bonnes armes pour ses singes. Il vint au Palais du Dragon de la Mer de l'Est et demanda des armes au Roi Dragon. Le Roi Dragon sortit de nombreuses armes, mais Sun Wukong les trouva toutes trop légères.
Finally, the Dragon King led Sun Wukong to the deep sea, where there was a huge iron pillar weighing 13,500 pounds. This iron pillar was left from ancient times and was called the Golden-Hooped Rod. Sun Wukong tried to pick it up and found that the rod could actually change size according to his will!
Finalement, le Roi Dragon conduisit Sun Wukong dans les profondeurs de la mer, où se trouvait un énorme pilier de fer pesant 13 500 livres. Ce pilier de fer datait des temps anciens et s'appelait le Bâton au Cercle d'Or. Sun Wukong essaya de le soulever et découvrit que le bâton pouvait en fait changer de taille selon sa volonté !
Sun Wukong was extremely excited. He shrunk the rod to the size of an embroidery needle and hid it in his ear for storage. He said goodbye to the Dragon King and returned to Flower-Fruit Mountain. With this divine weapon, Sun Wukong became even more powerful and became a true hero.
Sun Wukong était extrêmement excité. Il rétrécit le bâton à la taille d'une aiguille à broder et le cacha dans son oreille pour le ranger. Il fit ses adieux au Roi Dragon et retourna à la Montagne des Fleurs et des Fruits. Avec cette arme divine, Sun Wukong devint encore plus puissant et devint un véritable héros.
