Salem House was very strict, where headmaster Mr. Creakle often whipped students. At school, I met Steerforth, a clever but selfish young man from a wealthy family. Despite the harsh environment, I tried my best to study. Steerforth was friendly to me, but I could sense his arrogance.

My mother passed away shortly after I left. Losing her broke my heart. I had to learn to be strong without her. This experience taught me that life is unpredictable, and we must cherish the people we love while they are with us. Despite all the hardships, I continued my studies, hoping that education would help me build a better future.
