Chapter 20: Mission Accomplished
Capítulo 20: Misión Cumplida
The four returned to Chang'an with the true scriptures. The people of Chang'an heard that Tang Sanzang had returned from fetching the scriptures and came out to welcome them one after another. Emperor Taizong personally came out of the city to welcome them and held a grand welcome ceremony for the four.
Los cuatro regresaron a Chang'an con las verdaderas escrituras. La gente de Chang'an escuchó que Tang Sanzang había regresado de buscar las escrituras y salió a darles la bienvenida uno tras otro. El Emperador Taizong salió personalmente de la ciudad para darles la bienvenida y celebró una gran ceremonia de bienvenida para los cuatro.
Tang Sanzang presented the true scriptures to Emperor Taizong and told him about the hardships on the journey to fetch the scriptures. Emperor Taizong was very moved and built temples for the four of them, allowing them to enjoy their later years in peace.

Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing all achieved enlightenment and became Arhats. Tang Sanzang was titled by the Buddha as the Sandalwood Merit Buddha. The four finally completed their mission with merit and each returned to their own destination.
Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie y Sha Wujing alcanzaron la iluminación y se convirtieron en Arhats. Tang Sanzang fue titulado por Buda como el Buda del Mérito de Sándalo. Los cuatro finalmente completaron su misión con mérito y cada uno regresó a su propio destino.
