Capítulo 19: Llegada al Pico del Buitre
After overcoming countless hardships and dangers, the four of them finally saw the Vulture Peak. This was the place where the Buddha lived and where Tang Sanzang was to obtain the scriptures.
Después de superar innumerables dificultades y peligros, los cuatro finalmente vieron el Pico del Buitre. Este era el lugar donde vivía Buda y donde Tang Sanzang debía obtener las escrituras.
They arrived at the Great Thunder Temple and met the Tathagata Buddha. The Buddha gave them the scriptures, but the two disciples Ananda and Kasyapa who guarded the scriptures demanded that they exchange them for a purple-gold alms bowl. Tang Sanzang hadn't brought any gifts, so he could only give them the alms bowl.
Llegaron al Gran Templo del Trueno y conocieron al Buda Tathagata. El Buda les dio las escrituras, pero los dos discípulos Ananda y Kasyapa que custodiaban las escrituras exigieron que las cambiaran por un cuenco de limosnas de oro púrpura. Tang Sanzang no había traído ningún regalo, así que solo pudo darles el cuenco de limosnas.
The four obtained the scriptures and began their journey back. However, after walking for a while, they discovered that the scriptures were actually blank! It turned out that Ananda and Kasyapa wanted to give them wordless scriptures. When the Buddha learned about this, he exchanged them for the true scriptures with words.
Los cuatro obtuvieron las escrituras y comenzaron su viaje de regreso. Sin embargo, después de caminar un rato, ¡descubrieron que las escrituras estaban realmente en blanco!
