Chapter 3: The Night of the Murder
On a hot summer night, Raskolnikov came to the pawnshop. He attacked the old woman with an axe and killed her. Just as he was about to leave, the old woman's sister Lizaveta suddenly entered.
Lizaveta saw this scene, and Raskolnikov had to kill her too. He took some belongings and fled the scene in panic.
This was Raskolnikov's first time killing someone. His heart was filled with fear and guilt. But he still believed that what he did was correct.
