Chapter 8: Accident at the Racecourse
Vronsky participated in a horse race. Anna and Karenin watched the race together. During the race, Vronsky's horse suddenly fell, and Vronsky fell off the horse.
Anna saw Vronsky injured and was very panicked. She showed concern for Vronsky in front of everyone, which made Karenin very angry. Karenin realized that Anna's feelings had completely turned to Vronsky.
Vronsky suffered minor injuries but recovered quickly. However, this incident made Anna and Vronsky's relationship more public and brought them greater social pressure.
