Chapter 1: The Stone Monkey
On the eastern coast of the East Sea, there was a mountain called Flower-Fruit Mountain. On the mountain stood a giant magical rock that absorbed the essence of heaven and earth day after day. Suddenly, one day, the rock cracked open, and a stone monkey jumped out!
The monkey was lively and active, jumping and playing among the mountains. He soon found a group of monkeys and became friends with them. One day, the monkeys were playing by a mountain stream when they saw a waterfall pouring down from a high cliff.
"Whoever dares to jump through this waterfall, we will make him our king!" an older monkey shouted loudly.
Without hesitation, the stone monkey leaped into the waterfall. To his surprise, behind the waterfall was a beautiful cave! There were stone tables and chairs, as well as various fruits and flowers. The stone monkey excitedly ran out to tell the other monkeys. They all jumped into the cave one after another and indeed discovered an excellent home.
From then on, the stone monkey became the Monkey King of Flower-Fruit Mountain. He played with the monkeys every day, living a happy and free life.
